Crit Hit, will host a revolutionary 24-hour Dungeons & Dragons games marathon
A tabletop game center will be hosting a 24 hour games marathon to benefit Age UK.
Crit Hit in Liverpool, Merseyside, will host the epic Dungeons & Dragons event which takes place on Friday August 20 at 5.30pm.
The event will also be broadcast live on Twitch, providing viewers with a highly entertaining watch while raising awareness and generating funds for a great cause.
For those who don’t know, Dungeons & Dragons is “the ultimate role-playing game” where a group of friends play the heroes they’ve created.
Dungeons & Dragons is one of the most popular tabletop games in the world and the intense and immersive gameplay typically takes three hours, but this special event will involve a 24-hour marathon filmed live on camera.
The event will be played by a group of fun players (Alex, Will, Kirie, Josh, Caitlin and Crit Hit owner Andrew Coventry) and a crazy “Dungeon Master” who will be in charge of writing history, building the world, keep track of combat, create puzzles, manage players, organize the event and give silly voices to all the goblins.
During the event, Twitch moderator Sean will take note of the audience’s comments and questions. If you’ve ever wanted to ask a D&D player the ins and outs of gameplay, this stream will be your chance.
The event promises a wild, wacky and wonderful experience for gamers and non-gamers alike.
Donations can be made through the donations page or via the Twitch live stream during the event and all money raised will go to a local charity, Age UK. The Wirral-based charity provides vital services to older people in the area, including day trips on foot, IT support, and shopping.
The groundbreaking event will take place in Crit Hit’s new VIP games room – something recently opened as part of big expansion plans.
The gaming hub is attracting players from across the region and beyond for big events and more expansion plans will follow – with a new rooftop bar currently under construction.
Crit Hit owner Andrew Coventry said: “Our gaming hub has really grown over the last few years, both online and as a hub, due to the ever-growing popularity of the game. We’ve just opened a VIP room and we’re also building a rooftop bar but now is the time to give back and this event is going to be amazing!
He continued, “Dungeons & Dragons is a really fun and immersive game and it’s really exciting to watch and play. A 24 hour marathon like this is something and viewers can expect lots of laughs, fun and epic adventure as well as expert insight into the game. Combine that with awareness and money. for an amazing charity is perfect! “
The groundbreaking Charity Gaming Marathon will take place on Friday August 20 at 5:30 p.m. and for anyone wishing to donate, can do so through their donation page or via the Twitch livestream during the event.
Crit Hit is open to everyone, from new players to experienced players, and has a policy of no membership, entry fees, or hourly rates.
